LPN - Cardiology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardiology team at Excela Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physicians in delivering exceptional medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including lab tests, treatments, and medication administration, under the direction of the Practice Manager and/or physician.
- Carry out clinical activities, quality control activities, and performance improvement initiatives in support of the Physician Practice.
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the LPN Practice Act, hospital and/or physician practice policies, procedures, protocols, and other professional standards of care.
- Assist in assessing patient educational needs and providing education and instruction within their scope of practice.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and other providers to achieve desired patient outcomes.
- Ensure patient safety by utilizing two forms of patient identification and adhering to hospital and physician practices policies.
- Participate in non-punitive medication reporting and adhere to infection control processes.
- Demonstrate leadership by utilizing concepts inherent to the practice of professional nursing.
- Ability to perform the Essential Functions on the Physical Conditions chart and the Working Conditions chart.
- Assist in the department's compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate communications between patients/families and physician practice, pharmacies, specialists, and insurance carriers.
- Support performance improvement initiatives within the physician practice.
- Maintain the environment of care by ensuring supplies are replenished daily and consistently maintaining a clean safe environment.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
- BLS certification.
- Expert level skills in BASIC OFFICE/COMPUTERS, COPIER, FAX MACHINE, MICROSOFT OFFICE.
