Job Requirements

We are seeking a Project Budgeting Coordinator to join our team at A & Js Construction Company Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, collaborating with project managers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and subcontractors to gather necessary data for cost analysis.
  • Calculate the quantities of materials, labor, and other resources required for each phase of a project.
  • Prepare and present detailed estimates, bids, and proposals for clients.
  • Monitor and update estimates as project plans and requirements change.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Track and report on project costs to ensure budget adherence.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and verify measurements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Bluebeam, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
