Intrusion and Fire Alarm Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Intrusion and Fire Alarm Systems Specialist to join our team at Wachter. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing cabling systems and equipment in IP Video, Access Control / Intrusion Alarm / LAN/WAN infrastructure, and wireless LAN.
Key Responsibilities:- Cabling Installation: Run low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit bending work.
- System Installation: Complete all wiring, connections/terminations, and equipment installations ensuring that Access Control and Intrusion systems are complete with total customer satisfaction and contractual requirements.
- Fire Alarm Systems: Install, repair, or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels for fire alarm systems with the guidance of building plans and electrical layouts.
- Sensor Mounting: Mount sensors at appropriate locations, performing all necessary tasks, such as drilling holes for cabling and accessing locations such as crawlspaces or attics.
- System Testing: Tests to ensure all newly installed fire alarm systems and component devices are operational.
- Project Safety: Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHA.
- Timely Delivery: Assist and collaborate with the Installation Team Lead or Project Manager regarding on-site work schedules and timely delivery of equipment.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all work complies with current codes and regulations.
