Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Associate III to join our team at the Department of Public Health. As a key member of our support staff, you will provide complex administration support duties, ensuring the smooth operation of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex administration support duties, including scheduling appointments, reviewing and revising policies and procedures, and compiling and tracking data and reports.
  • Provide departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
  • Schedule and attend meetings, prepare and distribute documents and correspondence, and perform email communication and phone calls.
  • Analyze budgets and prepare reports, applying policies and procedures to solve routine problems of a repetitive and complex nature.
  • Work collaboratively with the College of Health Science, other academic departments, and the Office of Graduate Studies to achieve program and university goals.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Business, Business Administration, Mass Communications, or a related field.
  • Four years of relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field.
  • Ability to use standard office software and apply policies and procedures to solve routine problems.

Some travel may be required to Houston and surrounding areas for recruitment, off-site meetings, and internship site visits. Up to 20% of this position may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor.
