Job Summary:

The Senior Director of IT is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of the IT department. This position involves managing a team of IT professionals, driving technology initiatives, and ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives. The Senior Director plays a critical role in shaping the organization's IT infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity measures, and supporting digital transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement IT Strategy:Collaborate with senior leadership to create an IT strategy that supports business initiatives and regularly report on IT performance, highlighting successes, challenges, risks, and areas for improvement.
  2. Lead IT Transformation:Oversee the implementation of plans to transform the IT group, leveraging best practices around business process and technology changes.
  3. Build Relationships:Foster productive working relationships throughout the organization, including with senior leadership and the board of directors.
  4. Global IT Operations:Manage global IT operations, ensuring seamless integration and support for international business units while maintaining compliance with diverse international regulations, data protection, and cybersecurity standards.
  5. Global IT Infrastructure:Develop and optimize a robust global IT infrastructure, standardizing processes, managing multi-regional data, and driving cross-border IT support to align with the company's global strategy.
  6. AI Technologies:Promote and integrate AI technologies to enhance internal process efficiencies and develop AI-driven solutions to generate new revenue streams.
  7. Financial Management:Effectively manage the department budget of approximately $5 million, including all internal resources and external vendor relationships.
  8. Vendor Management:Negotiate, select, and manage key technology vendors and service providers, ensuring high-quality services and solutions.
  9. Legacy System Modernization:Lead the transformation to modernize and optimize legacy systems, strategically assess and implement system conversions, and oversee the development and deployment of new applications to drive business objectives.
  10. Talent Development:Invest in the continuous development of the IT team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to support the organization's goals, especially in areas related to cybersecurity and IP protection.
  11. Innovation and Change Management:Encourage innovation, implement cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity, and manage the process of change and transition while helping others deal with their effects.
  12. Data Governance:Develop and implement a data governance framework to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility across the organization.
  13. IT Risk Management:Develop and maintain an IT risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technology and data.
  14. Compliance:Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, PIPEDA, and other relevant data protection laws.
  15. Support and Uphold Policies:Support and uphold HS&E policies and procedures of NCS and the customer, align individual goals with NCS corporate goals, and adhere to the NCS Promise.
  16. Personal Development:Conduct, participate in, and promote Personal Development for Success (PDS) for both self and direct reports, ensuring effectiveness of the program.
