Position: Embedded Systems Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess expertise in product testing roles, with practical experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.

2. Demonstrate proficiency in developing and executing automated testing scripts for embedded systems utilizing frameworks like Robot Framework, pytest, or custom-built solutions.

3. Exhibit a robust understanding of domain knowledge related to hardware components, firmware, embedded software development, real-time operating systems, and the interactions between hardware and software.

4. Grasp the architecture of embedded systems, including microcontrollers, microprocessors, memory devices, and communication protocols.

5. Familiarity with hardware testing instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, function generators, JTAG debuggers, and hardware simulators.

6. Experience in validating and troubleshooting the integration of hardware components with software/firmware, ensuring accurate data communication, sensor readings, device functionality, and overall system performance.

7. Knowledge of version control systems like Git for managing source code, tracking modifications, and collaborating effectively with development teams.

8. Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, including system crashes, memory leaks, timing discrepancies, and other anomalies during testing.

9. Understanding of the engineering development lifecycle and testing methodologies such as black-box, white-box, and unit testing.

10. Familiarity with communication protocols commonly utilized in embedded systems, including UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and CAN bus, focusing on testing data transmission, protocol compliance, and error management.

11. Collaborate effectively with product owners, developers, architects, and all team members to ensure quality and efficiency in product development.
