About the Role:

Indium Software is seeking a skilled Manual Tester to join our team. As a Manual Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine, smart, and focused exploratory tests based on high-risk areas to identify defects and improve product quality.
  • Assist in writing and performing manual test plans and related test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Verify features and improvements using white and black box methodologies, with an emphasis on debugging and identifying the root cause of issues.
  • Utilize excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Develop a deep understanding of large-scale system architecture and how they work and fail.
  • Familiarize yourself with functional API testing and its applications.
  • Gain a solid understanding of operating system fundamentals, software test engineering principles, tools, techniques, and execution with an emphasis on manual execution.
  • Work effectively in a Scrum/Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
  • Experience working with embedded consumer products and a strong understanding of their complexities.
  • Proficient in using tools such as BlueSuite, Wireshark, and Cygwin to support testing efforts.
  • Broaden your knowledge of Bluetooth 2.1 and 4.0 technologies and their applications.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in software testing, preferably in a Scrum/Agile environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
