Job Title: Adjunct Instructor, Radiographic Technology Program

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach introductory and advanced classes in radiologic technology at Joliet Junior College. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and learning, as well as a thorough knowledge of the subject matter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach radiologic technology courses, including practicum, to students at various skill levels.
  • Participate in course development, assessment, and planning activities to ensure curriculum alignment and student success.
  • Meet with the Program Coordinator to discuss student progression and program goals.
  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the radiologic technology program.
  • Be willing to teach face-to-face, online, and/or blended courses as needed.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current and active ARRT (R) certification.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience at the collegiate level.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a classroom, skills lab, and simulation teaching environment, as well as clinical/hospital units.
