Neurologist - Movement Disorders Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurologist with expertise in Movement Disorders to join our team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a Movement Disorders Neurologist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, conducting research, and teaching residents and fellows.
About the Position:This is a full-time academic position at the Assistant to Full Professor level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Movement Disorders, with experience in surgical planning, intraoperative micro-electrode recording, and programming of deep brain stimulation devices.
Responsibilities:- Provide expert care to patients with Movement Disorders, including those with Parkinson's disease, dystonia, and other movement disorders.
- Conduct research in Movement Disorders, with a focus on developing new treatments and improving patient outcomes.
- Teach residents and fellows in the Department of Neurology, with a focus on Movement Disorders.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with Movement Disorders.
- MD or MD/PhD degree from an accredited institution.
- Completed ACGME certified Neurology residency.
- Board Certified/Eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in Movement Disorders.
- Ability to obtain/hold a North Carolina medical license.
- Prior experience planning for focused ultrasound ablation.
