Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Services Specialist to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a key member of our cleaning team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic and specialty cleaning services to all areas of the hospital, focusing on the operations of heavy mechanical equipment used in the cleaning and maintenance of hard and soft flooring surfaces.
  • Work in specialty units, such as surgical services, labor delivery, critical care, and endoscopy, to provide a safe care environment for patients and staff.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with hospital staff to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Use proven science and technology to kill unseen bacteria and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • Eagerness to contribute to patient safety and infection prevention.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English sufficient to perform the duties of the position.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and other software applications.
