Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Technical Editor will collaborate with intelligence professionals, fellow editors, and web developers to ensure that all analytical documents meet the required templates and publication standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Editing and managing multimedia intelligence publications to ensure they are coherent, logically structured, and grammatically correct.
  • Modifying and creating templates in Microsoft Word for various product lines, ensuring compliance with established policies.
  • Providing expert guidance to analysts on the publication process, including planning and coordination.
  • Representing the organization in discussions with contractors and intelligence agencies to address technical challenges related to publication and dissemination.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 12 years of relevant experience in technical editing within the intelligence sector, with recent experience.
  • Proficiency in Desktop Publishing, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, HTML, XML, and MS Office applications.
  • A Master's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or a Bachelor's Degree with extensive relevant experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

  • Experience in editing analytical products.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated innovation and independent work capability.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
