Job Title: Advanced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner

AICA Orthopedics is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The Advanced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. This includes conducting thorough medical histories, performing physical examinations, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with our pain management physician. You will also be responsible for ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting lab results, and performing routine procedures such as trigger point injections.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to establish a record of the patient's current health status and develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab and radiology tests, to identify pathophysiologic processes.
  • Perform routine procedures such as trigger point injections and major joint injections.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the pain management physician.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on treatment options and pain management strategies.
  • Assist with record keeping and complete accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program with a master's degree in nursing.
  • Current state licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Prescriptive authority for licensure and current DEA license to prescribe.
  • Experience in interventional pain management and orthopedic care preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
