Aircraft Support Mechanic Job Description

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a skilled Aircraft Support Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our aviation workforce, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to aircraft maintenance, including airframe and engine/component maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform airframe and engine/component maintenance tasks using appropriate equipment and technical functions.
  • Work with approved manuals and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
  • Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform essential job functions, including lifting at least 70 pounds.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Airframe and Powerplant license and Avionics experience.
  • Ability to secure a second license within 12 months of employment.
  • Willingness to work rotating or fixed shifts.
  • Ability to read and write English and comprehend technical manuals.
  • Ability to work safely and compliantly.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to respond to changing work demands.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systems.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • DOT drug test and authorization to work in the US.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
