Investment Portfolio Specialist

We are looking for an Investment Portfolio Specialist to assist Relationship Managers in the development of new lending opportunities and the oversight of the credit portfolio. This position will require close collaboration with the origination team and credit risk management to structure financial transactions, evaluate financial documents, perform due diligence, assess credit risk, prepare deal presentations, and monitor the credit portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to create suitable loan structures.
  • Analyze and review financial data of companies and guarantors.
  • Conduct in-depth credit evaluations for new loan applications.
  • Propose risk ratings in line with established credit policies.
  • Facilitate due diligence discussions and prepare deal presentations.
  • Design transactions that align with client requirements and institutional standards.
  • Execute comprehensive credit assessments for deal presentations and support the credit committee.
  • Oversee adherence to financial covenants and reporting obligations.
  • Assist in the renewal, extension, and annual review of credit facilities.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Understanding of the lending process and underwriting principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to work collaboratively and manage priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking software.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in underwriting and account management.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This position is based in an office environment, requiring manual dexterity and occasional lifting. Some travel may be necessary.
