Role Overview

The Project Engineer will work closely with the Regional Project Engineering Manager to support the engineering team across various IPEX locations. The ideal candidate will possess experience in project management, technical assistance, documentation, coordination, risk assessment, and compliance. This role involves collaboration in both manufacturing facilities and corporate environments, engaging with multiple departments including operations, maintenance, quality assurance, health and safety, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to project teams, encompassing engineering design, analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Prepare and review essential project documentation, including specifications, drawings, reports, and progress updates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution and effective communication.
  • Identify potential risks associated with projects, develop strategies for mitigation, and monitor performance against set objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry guidelines, and internal policies throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in engineering within a manufacturing context or a related field.
  • Familiarity with extrusion and plastic molding technologies is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to professional growth.
  • Ability to work autonomously while demonstrating strong personal initiative.
  • Exceptional customer relationship management skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in managing both internal and external teams.
  • Capacity to adapt and learn in a fast-paced, technological environment.
  • Effective communicator with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
  • Proficient in software applications such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • General understanding of mechanical principles, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
