Housing Support Specialist

Mohawk Opportunities is a nonprofit organization committed to helping individuals with mental illness, HIV/AIDS, and those who are homeless achieve stable community living and independence.
We provide housing that is safe and affordable, as well as services that facilitate growth and recovery. Our goal is to empower our clients to transition to the next level of independence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive counseling to assist clients in stabilizing their living situation
- Teach daily living skills, including cleaning and socialization
- Collaborate with clients to develop crisis prevention and intervention strategies
- Manage medication refills and supervise clients' use of medication
Requirements:
- College classes in human services or equivalent experience
- 6 months-1 year experience in human services preferred
- Valid driver's license for business use
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Benefits:
- $22.66/hour salary, equivalent to $47,132.80 annually
- 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
- Overtime pay and on-call bonuses
- Agency-provided cell phone and I-pad
