Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the facility. This individual will collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to conduct routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment, while also overseeing the general cleanliness and upkeep of the premises. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, with experience in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, alongside general maintenance tasks. A strong team player, you will take pride in your work and contribute positively to the workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies while performing all duties.
  • Conduct minor repairs in building maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and painting, including troubleshooting and preventative measures.
  • Assist in the construction, routine, and emergency maintenance of all facility equipment.
  • Carry out regular cleaning and replacement of filters on HVAC units and other machinery.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of repair tools and supplies.
  • Complete assigned work orders efficiently.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the equipment utilized within the facility.
  • Maintain knowledge of the facility's plumbing, electrical, irrigation, HVAC, and security systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and required training programs (Safety, Quality, Regulations, etc.).
  • Assist with unloading freight deliveries as necessary.
  • Perform additional maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Foster a positive work environment through a proactive attitude and self-motivation.
  • Research and implement new methods to enhance performance and adapt procedures in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Exhibit personal hygiene and adhere to health guidelines while processing materials.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college education or degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical work, and general construction.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of working independently or as part of a team, demonstrating sound judgment and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity, particularly when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others and adapt to changes in policies and procedures.
  • Comprehension of and compliance with company rules and regulations.
Additional Requirements
  • Must successfully pass all required background checks.
  • Must remain compliant with all legal and company regulations relevant to the industry.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Approval from the state regulatory agency is necessary to obtain a cannabis agent badge.
Working Conditions
  • Regularly required to perform physical tasks such as grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and repetitive motions.
  • Physical demands include the ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, and balance loads up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance), while exercising caution and care.
  • Daily exposure to allergens may occur (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).
