Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the facility. This individual will collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to conduct both routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment, while also overseeing the general cleanliness and upkeep of the premises. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, including experience in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, alongside a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies while performing all tasks.
  • Conduct minor repairs in building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting, as well as troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
  • Assist in construction projects and routine maintenance, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently.
  • Perform regular cleaning and replacement of filters in HVAC units and other machinery throughout the facility.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of repair tools and supplies.
  • Complete assigned work orders promptly and efficiently.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the equipment and systems within the facility.
  • Stay informed about the plumbing, electrical, irrigation, HVAC, and security systems in place.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and required training, including safety and quality regulations.
  • Assist with unloading freight deliveries as necessary.
  • Undertake additional maintenance tasks as requested.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere through a proactive and motivated attitude.
  • Research and implement new methods to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in maintenance practices.
  • Exhibit personal hygiene and adhere to health guidelines while performing duties.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required; additional education or degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical work, and general construction.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity, especially when handling confidential information.
  • Collaborative team player who can adjust to changes in policies and procedures.
  • Comprehend and comply with all relevant rules and regulations.
Additional Requirements
  • Must successfully pass all required background checks.
  • Must remain compliant with all legal and company regulations.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Approval from the state regulatory agency is necessary to obtain a cannabis agent badge.
Working Conditions
  • Regularly required to perform various physical activities, including grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and repetitive motions.
  • Physical demands include the ability to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) safely.
  • Daily exposure to allergens may occur, including cannabis and other substances.
