Job Summary:
HBC Management Services Inc is seeking a highly skilled Geographic Information Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert support in geographic information operations, utilizing your knowledge of ArcGIS, C2PC, and PFPS systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality maps overlays and mapping products within a one-week timeframe prior to the commencement of Operational Planning Team (OPT) exercises.
- Utilize GIS tools to create planning products, including maps, charts, overlays, and organization charts, to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with Department of Defense and Department of Transportation mapping and imagery collection services to gather geographic data, review maps, and update data and maps for delivery to the NECCPAC N5 Directorate.
- Review, download, and catalog TRANSCOM J2 updates to lines of communication, including bridges, highways, culverts, ports, piers, airfields, landing pads, bypasses, and alternate routes for Sea Port of Debarkations (SPODs) and Aerial Port of Debarkations (APODs).
- Develop and deliver planning products in digital or hard copy format to facilitate OPT exercises, Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) Drills, War Fighter Seminars (WFSs), and other military exercises.
- Consolidate available site survey data for locations designated by N5 personnel into standardized formats using provided websites, databases, and other sources on both NIPR and SIPR.
- Develop site assessments for designated locations in the Pacific theater using standardized formats based on OPLAN/CONPLAN requirements.
- Store and organize digital and hard copy documents to support NECCPAC deliberate planning, ensuring proper labeling and storage according to classification levels and security guidelines.
- Provide administrative assistant services in support of N5 departmental SIPR Knowledge Management requirements, including content management, storage efficiency, document protection, and access and retrieval of planning products.
- Review Expeditionary Domain Awareness (EDA), the Reachback Engineer Data Integration (REDi) portal, and other related Higher-and Adjacent headquarters portal pages for updated planning documents on a weekly basis.
- Collect site surveys, studies, infrastructure documents, and planning documents from NECCPAC and 24 subordinate units, compiling and uploading updated products onto EDA, the REDi portal, and other related Higher-and Adjacent headquarters portal pages and repositories.
- Conduct annual inventory updates of an estimated 80 digital and hard copy technical and doctrinal references.
- Inventories classified information stored in the NECCPAC N5 Directorate safe on a weekly basis.
- Perform routine electronic backups of digital files stored on the NECCPAC N5 Directorate share systems and stand-alone computer.
- Provide planning and briefing support to the NECCPAC N5 Directorate by coordinating with various suppliers and event participants.
- Coordinate map and imagery printing, plotting, and lamination services via DoD provided peripheral systems, DoD support services, or N5 approved printing services.
- Provide audio/visual and computer support to the NECCPAC N5 Directorate for planning events, including SIPR and NIPR.
- Prepare and handle classified information in accordance with DoDM, including mailing, courier support, and packaging of NECCPAC visual imagery documents.
- Receive mail designated for delivery to NECCPAC and distribute to the addressees within the organization.
- Submit a PowerPoint brief and a Microsoft Word report to the N5 present completed site assessments for review during regularly planned N5 departmental meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; applicable experience may be considered as a substitute for degree.
- 5+ years of experience working in Military geographic information operations.
- Good working knowledge of Military geographic information operations and technical proficiency in systems employed in executing its core mission, including ArcGIS, C2PC, and PFPS.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Professional and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Able to prioritize workload.
- U.S. citizen and fluent in the English language.
- Current government security clearance.
