We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Assistant - PCA to join our team at Visiting Angels Lufkin. As a Patient Care Assistant - PCA, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of senior adults and those in need.

Responsibilities include assisting clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as providing emotional support and companionship. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer's care through advanced training.

Requirements:

  • Passion to serve others
  • Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
  • Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
  • Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
  • Respectful and compassionate
  • Experience with bathing assistance and incontinence care
  • Experience with transferring seniors using a hoyer lift or gait belt
  • Strong ethics
  • Knowledge of Alzheimer's and dementia
  • 2 years professional experience with the elderly in a facility or with an agency or have a CNA certification
