Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Woodland Heights Medical Center. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist nursing staff in providing patient care, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Assist with patient mobility, including positioning, repositioning, and ambulating patients.
  • Collect and process patient specimens, including blood and urine samples.
  • Engage in evidence-based best practices to enhance patient experience, including hourly rounding and use of AIDET.
  • Comply with hospital policies and procedures, as well as State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
