Electrical Systems Specialist

Richmond County Schools is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our Maintenance Department. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for performing installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
Key Responsibilities:- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Install, maintain, alter, and repair wiring, electrical devices, machinery, and equipment.
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble, and install conduit.
- Draw wire through conduit and complete necessary splicing, soldering, and application of friction tape.
- Install and connect equipment to wiring systems.
- Replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Replace faulty electrical components.
- A high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair.
- A valid driver's license.
- An electrician's license based on State requirements by the North Carolina Board of Electrical Examiners or a valid School Maintenance Electrician Certification issued by the North Carolina Department of Insurance.
This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The employee will be subject to service calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
