Position Overview

Our client is in search of a meticulous and proactive Risk Assessment Specialist who will play a critical role in identifying and evaluating risks that may affect their procurement processes, projects, reputation, and compliance standards. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with risk management teams and governmental leaders to formulate strategies and practices aimed at minimizing risks associated with various projects and procurements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation of processes, policies, and procedural frameworks.
  • Assist in the management of claims and the development of associated processes.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and vulnerabilities in contracts, procurements, projects, and leases.
  • Work alongside risk management teams and executives to devise and implement action plans focused on risk reduction.
  • Collect and analyze information from multiple sources to evaluate the risk exposure of vendors.
  • Oversee and review policies to ensure comprehensive risk coverage.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and modify existing operational practices to mitigate identified risks.
  • Analyze procurement activities to determine insurance requirements.
  • Review alternative insurance and indemnification options and provide constructive feedback.
  • Serve as an auditor to evaluate procurements, scopes of work, leases, and departmental requests.
  • Effectively communicate risk management recommendations to staff.
  • Conduct analysis of insurance policy coverage.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of risk management policies and industry best practices.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • Relevant certifications such as CPCU or CRM.
  • Exceptional mathematical, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for report generation and policy development.
