Position Summary

The Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing hourly staff. This role ensures that operational standards are upheld, locations are adequately staffed, and focuses on the development of team members. By evaluating sites and utilizing strong communication skills, the Facilities Operations Manager guarantees customer satisfaction at every level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and onboard personnel to ensure accounts are staffed in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Delegate responsibilities and monitor work quality for cleanliness and completion.
  • Establish work procedures and develop schedules while adhering to the allocated labor budget.
  • Conduct orientation, safety training, and job training to ensure staff can perform tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Prepare and review necessary documentation such as time sheets, incident reports, onboarding paperwork, training records, work orders, and supply orders.
  • Foster open communication by addressing employee relations issues and providing coaching and counseling to promote success.
  • Build relationships with clients by regularly visiting accounts to ensure top-notch service delivery.
  • Address issues and complaints promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Document client interactions and concerns consistently, assisting with follow-up to ensure resolution.
  • Monitor assigned accounts for potential work order opportunities and additional services that can be integrated into the contract.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A minimum of two to three years of management experience is required. Candidates should possess several years of experience in the janitorial industry. The ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments is essential. A customer service orientation and training capabilities are necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications is required.
