In this role, you will support the Strategic Communications Manager in managing communications related to significant initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in crafting and implementing strategic communication plans that support the objectives of major initiatives.
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of internal and external communications, including press releases, newsletters, public service announcements, and social media content.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Collaborate with various disciplines to ensure alignment of communication strategies with overall program goals.
  • Coordinate and execute special events such as public meetings and project tours.
  • Manage the design and production of diverse communication materials including brochures, presentations, and project displays.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts through analysis and feedback.
  • Engage with vendors and partners for the production of communication collateral.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant professional experience in public relations and outreach.
  • Strong understanding of public relations techniques and media relations strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with the community and other stakeholders.
  • Proficient in implementing communication policies and adhering to brand standards.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in standard office software.
  • Fluency in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese is a plus.
  • Ability to respond promptly to organizational needs.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and a strong work ethic.
