We are currently in search of a proficient HVAC Technician. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. A keen attention to detail, a focus on customer satisfaction, and the ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve HVAC challenges are essential.

PRIMARY ROLE: Responsible for the installation and servicing of HVAC systems and products in accordance with manufacturer guidelines. Ensures that all tasks are executed professionally, promptly, and accurately, adhering to all company policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to safety protocols while installing or servicing HVAC equipment.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures relevant to the installation and service tasks.
  • Follow directives from the Lead Installer Service Technician regarding the scope of work.
  • Guarantee that all work is completed per manufacturer specifications.
  • Possess a solid understanding of HVAC theory.
  • Understand HVAC electrical theory.
  • Pre-measure jobs to determine necessary materials for the scope of work.
  • Install household appliances as required.
  • Receive, verify, and load all equipment and materials needed for each job while maintaining stock levels on the vehicle.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained and report any maintenance needs to management.
  • Assist and mentor colleagues as directed by management.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork before the end of the shift.
  • Conduct readings on testing instruments and recognize their significance.
  • Adhere to national, state, and local mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Keep the office dispatcher/supervisor informed of job status and any potential delays.
  • Maintain all company tools in good working condition and ensure their safety for use.
  • Consistently perform work in a professional manner, treating customers with respect and reporting any issues to management immediately.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of a relevant trade program is preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in HVAC installation.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in HVAC service.
  • Meets the qualifications of an HVAC Installer.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC installation, service, and related tools and testing instruments.
  • Must hold EPA 608 certification.
  • Exhibit strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Availability for on-call and overtime hours is required.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, and a medical certification card for driving to job sites as necessary.
  • Adhere to the rules and regulations outlined in the company handbook.
