Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our team in Seattle. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing a variety of transportation projects from design through construction, driving the success of engineering projects, and providing leadership and technical expertise to the team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage transportation projects from design through construction, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Lead the engineering team, providing guidance and mentorship to staff members.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, including planning, landscape architecture, and data analysis, to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Prepare project schedules, budgets, and scope of services, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation.
  • Support business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with clients.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience as a Transportation Engineer in a consulting environment or public entity, with 5+ years as a Project Manager and 3+ years managing staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or TE (Traffic Engineer) licensure.
  • Experience in active, non-motorized transportation, with a demonstrated understanding of project management principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide staff members and manage internal team expectations.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, multiple simultaneous projects, and work within budgetary and schedule constraints.
