Job Description

We are seeking a Senior-level Civil/Structural Engineer with experience in structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures, a passion for problem-solving, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and review analysis and design of steel and concrete structures
  • Prepare and review design drawings, reports, and technical specifications
  • Maintain project communication with coworkers and clients
  • Responsible for project progress and task completion
  • Perform inspections of dams and hydraulic structures
  • Provide construction site observation and engineering services
Requirements
  • BS in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Licensed Civil/Structural Engineer
  • Analysis and design of steel and concrete structures
  • Responsible for completion of calculations, drawings, reports, etc.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided structural analysis, i.e. STAAD, SAP, ETAB, etc.
  • Proficiency with Excel and/or Mathcad as engineering calculation tools
  • Competent with ASCE, AISC, and ACI codes
  • Knowledge/understanding of FERC, USACE, USBR, FEMA, etc. guidelines/regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with coworkers and clients
  • Willingness to perform field work and travel as required by projects
  • Ability to negotiate at construction sites and practice site safety
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS or PhD Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Ten or more years of engineering design experience in steel and concrete structures
  • Experience in dams or hydraulic structures
  • Prior construction support or field engineer experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and/or Bluebeam
