Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bus Driver to operate a school bus in the Lowell service area. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL with S & P endorsements and a Mass. School Bus Certificate. As a team player, you will work with the Bus Monitor to ensure a collaborative service in the service area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport children on assigned routes, including field trips and activities.
  • Ensure children are released only to authorized individuals.
  • Maintain route copy and assist the substitute monitor, in conjunction with the Bus Monitor.
  • Adhere to FMSCA rules and Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), Head Start, and State DOT regulations.
  • Integrate a DE&I lens in all activities, encouraging colleagues to engage in DE&I work and contributing to our mission of building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and vehicles with the Bus Monitor.
  • Follow Transportation policies and procedures as outlined.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid CDL with S & P endorsements and Mass. School Bus Certificate.
  • Reliable transportation to the work site.
  • Bi-lingual skills desired.
  • Evidence of recent Mantoux test, physical exam, and MMR vaccine.
  • CORI/DCF review prior to employment.
  • Pass Pre-Employment Drug Test.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds minimum.
  • Conform to physical requirements of DOT Federal Motor Carriers Regulations.
