The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in trade compliance, preferably in the solar industry. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving discrepancies in documentation associated with customs clearance, verifying the accuracy of trade compliance documents, and communicating with customs brokers, service providers, and government agencies.
You will also be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our import compliance program, managing import licenses, agreements, and commodity jurisdictions, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive import compliance posture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies in documentation associated with customs clearance
- Verifying the accuracy of trade compliance documents
- Communicating with customs brokers, service providers, and government agencies
- Leading the development and implementation of our import compliance program
- Managing import licenses, agreements, and commodity jurisdictions
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive import compliance posture
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in trade compliance
- Undergraduate degree
- Trade compliance/CBSA diploma or post-secondary certificate
- High technical aptitude, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Excellent time management and communication skills
