Job Title: Proposal Writer

Meade Engineering, Inc. (MEI) is a leading engineering firm that specializes in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions for data center builders, cloud providers, and developers of large construction projects.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Proposal Writer with a strong background in managing Requests for Proposals and analytics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality proposals and providing strategic input to strengthen the proposal writing process.

The ideal candidate possesses both a creative talent for writing, attention to detail, and technical expertise within a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, edit, and finalize high-quality proposals, RFQs, RFPs, and qualification submissions for MEP projects.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to craft narratives, case studies, project descriptions, and resumes that showcase the firm's expertise and competitive advantages.
  • Engage with clients to gather requirements, manage proposal timelines, and deliver accurate, client-focused documents.
  • Maintain a repository of reusable proposal content, including standard project descriptions, staff bios, and other key materials.
  • Conduct research on potential clients, competitors, and market trends to inform proposal strategy.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of proposals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing, RFQ management, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of RFQs, RFPs, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and using analytics to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with proposal management software is a plus.
