This position involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to serve the growing needs of the regional adult population. You will diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, working closely with supervising physicians to expand individualized healthcare services.

  • Obtain patient history and perform assessments via observation, interview, and examination">
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies">
  • Provide direct treatment and management of conditions through prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources">
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning health conditions, treatment options, and community resources">
  • Document delivery of healthcare and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy">
  • Participate in orientation and education of staff and students">
  • Perform other related functions as assigned">

About the Requirements

">

To be eligible for this position, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited training program and board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB). You should also have licensure through the Texas Medical Board or Texas Board of Nursing, respectively.
