Optum is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Nocturnist to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you'll be responsible for taking care of crossover calls, ER admissions, and transfers at night, while managing a patient panel limited to geriatrics with Medicare Advantage coverage.

As an Advanced Practice Nocturnist, you'll have the opportunity to work autonomously, with the support of a sustainable and thriving national healthcare organization. You'll also be part of a best-in-class employee experience that enables you to practice at the top of your license. Our 'Quality vs. Quantity Model' ensures a typical census per hospitalist is 10 to 13 patients per day.

The ideal candidate will have certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and current licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board. A valid DEA license and at least 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant are also required.
