The Director of IT will be instrumental in evaluating, enhancing, and executing operational strategies for our enterprise-wide applications and systems. This leadership position is critical for driving operational excellence, improving user engagement, and facilitating scalable growth throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of technical acumen, strategic foresight, and leadership capabilities to ensure that technology initiatives align with our business goals and yield significant results.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and analyze current business systems, processes, and workflows to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
- Formulate and implement a detailed strategy for enterprise applications that aligns with the overarching objectives of the company. Provide visionary leadership and direction to cross-functional teams to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across departments to oversee the development, customization, and integration of essential enterprise applications, including GL, ERP, EDI, WMS, CRM, and other critical systems.
- Define and uphold the architecture of enterprise applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to identify modernization opportunities within our application ecosystem.
- Engage with external vendors, consultants, and partners to assess, select, and implement enterprise software solutions. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements to guarantee quality service delivery and value for the organization.
- Establish governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for the deployment and utilization of enterprise applications. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices.
- Promote a user-focused approach to application design and usability. Collaborate with business stakeholders to comprehend their needs and preferences, driving adoption and maximizing the value derived from enterprise applications.
- Build and nurture a high-performing team by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability to achieve success in the enterprise applications domain.
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in managing enterprise applications, with at least 8 years in leadership positions.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or business administration.
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise software systems such as ERP (e.g., Syspro) and CRM (e.g., Hubspot).
- Strong grasp of application architecture, integration patterns, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- In-depth understanding of User Experience principles and User Interface development.
- Experience leading large-scale application implementations, upgrades, and migrations in complex organizational settings.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives, achieve results, and navigate challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with Syspro is a plus.
Compensation:
- Salary range = $150,000 - $175,000 annually.
- This position qualifies for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel between company facilities is required.
Work Location and Reporting Structure:
- This position necessitates daily on-site presence.
- This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
