Job Title: Chief Information Officer

The California Horse Racing Board is seeking a highly skilled Chief Information Officer to lead our Information Technology team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic IT plans that align with our business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic IT plans that align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Lead and supervise organization-level IT functions, including IT business technology management, IT security engineering, IT client services, IT system engineering, IT software engineering, and IT project management.
  • Collaborate with CHRB management, other CIOs of the State of California, and program staff to develop and construct applications that fulfill the mission of the CHRB.
  • Direct support for the Internet, Intranet, associated systems, telecommunications systems, servers, and networks that facilitate CHRB's office automation environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience leading and/or supervising organization-level IT functions.
  • Experience using, maintaining, and/or developing ASP.NET, SQL, or PeopleSoft IT solutions.
  • Experience with IT business technology management, IT security engineering, IT client services, IT system engineering, IT software engineering, and/or IT project management.
