Service Mechanic for Heavy Equipment

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site repairs and diagnostics of articulating cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, conveyors, trucks, and trailers, exercising a high level of independent judgment.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and annual inspections in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Provide immediate troubleshooting and repair services during both regular and off-hours.
  • Effectively communicate mechanical issues and necessary repairs to site and fleet managers.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, including estimates, work authorizations, parts ordering, labor records, and inventory management.
  • Adhere to state and federal safety regulations at all times.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle and job site equipment.

Your Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in mechanical systems, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and welding, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience focused on articulating cranes and forklifts.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Physical capability to sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift weights exceeding 75 lbs for extended durations. Proficiency in English is required.
  • Possession of a valid CDL driver's license or willingness to obtain one within 60 days of hire.
  • Clean driving history.
  • Must provide personal tools; PALFINGER proprietary tools will be supplied.
