Job Summary

T.W. Frierson Contractor, Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of construction equipment and motor vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on construction equipment and motor vehicles
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Deliver equipment and construction materials and supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient equipment operation and maintenance
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with good driving record
  • Class A CDL with current DOT medical card preferred
  • Five years of experience as a mechanic with knowledge of internal combustion engines, DC electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and track and aerial equipment
  • Understanding of basic welding techniques
  • Ability to operate all types of construction equipment and vehicles
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, at least eight hours per day, five days per week between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Travel Requirements
  • Frequent travel within a 50-mile radius of office to local vendors or projects, 4-5 times per week
  • Occasional travel within a 100-mile radius of office
