Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Resort Engineering Director to lead our engineering team at a large waterfront hotel complex in Central/Southwest Florida. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all administrative, financial, and operating aspects of the engineering division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train engineering staff in customer service, empowerment, and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and implement financial forecasts and participate in monthly profit/loss review meetings.
  • Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all hotel equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, as well as emergency and life safety equipment and systems.
  • Handle room maintenance requests in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Assist with special projects and renovations as needed.
  • Administer vendor contracts controlled by the engineering department.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of progressive facility management experience in a hotel or resort environment.
  • 4-year college degree preferred or a 2-year college degree or technical trade certification or equivalent experience.
  • HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills required.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
