We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Piedmont HealthCare. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in the healthcare process by collecting blood samples from patients for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare equipment and maintain adequate supplies for efficient blood collection.
  • Perform venipuncture, arterial, and capillary punctures on patients, identifying and labeling specimens as needed.
  • Conduct laboratory tests on specimens and enter data into computer systems.
  • Assist donors before, during, and after donation, instructing on urine collection procedures as required.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment, instruments, and work areas following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.
  • Inventory supplies and place orders as assigned by the office.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all relevant regulations and policies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy Certification required.
  • Minimum of one year work experience, preferably in healthcare, with phlebotomy experience a plus.
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to move among various outpatient and inpatient settings, with exposure to communicable diseases, sharp instruments, bodily fluids, and cleaning chemicals. The successful candidate must be able to walk, bend, and reach, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transport and transfer.
