Job Overview

Position Title: Lead Senior Accountant

Department: Finance

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous individual to fill the role of Lead Senior Accountant, responsible for supporting all financial and accounting functions within the organization. This position demands a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in accounting practices. The successful candidate will report directly to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Controller in the month-end closing activities.
  • Generate recurring journal entries.
  • Conduct general ledger reconciliations.
  • Provide cost accounting analysis.
  • Monitor and track project accounting.
  • Prepare and manage budgets.
  • Conduct cross-functional audits.

Additional Responsibilities:

Other projects may be assigned throughout the fiscal year as needed.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Education/Experience: A minimum of 3-7 years of relevant experience is required. A high school diploma is mandatory, while a college degree in accounting is preferred. Familiarity with GAAP is essential.

Specific Skills: The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess a high level of ethics, and demonstrate strong computer proficiency, particularly in data entry. Experience with Microsoft applications, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word, is crucial. The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and prioritize tasks effectively is necessary. Candidates should also be adept at multitasking to meet evolving deadlines and have the initiative to suggest improvements for operational efficiency. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to maintain professional relationships. This position may require extended periods of stationary work and close-range computer use.
