Note: This role requires living on-site in a rent-free apartment.

Summary:
Mutual Housing Management delivers professional property management services to a portfolio of affordable multifamily properties. The Property Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation of the property, adhering to established policies and procedures, and maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies. This position is responsible for fostering a supportive community for residents, overseeing financial management, maintaining occupancy levels, and ensuring the property is well-kept.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee daily financial operations, implement rental rate adjustments, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Physical Oversight: Supervise maintenance staff, ensuring timely responses to maintenance requests and overall property appearance.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage property office operations, maintain organized records, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Marketing and Resident Relations: Conduct market surveys, maintain occupancy rates, and engage with residents to ensure satisfaction.
  • Professional Development: Identify training needs for on-site staff and foster a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of experience in property management, with a strong understanding of local and federal housing laws. Experience in budget generation and managing affordable housing developments is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to diverse populations are essential.

Education:
A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications such as Certified Property Manager are advantageous.

Work Environment:
This role requires physical activity, including walking and climbing stairs, and may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions.
