Job Summary

We are seeking an Operations Associate to join our team at the Bureau of Childcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative mandates related to child care staff background checks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process initial and renewal child care permit applications for completeness and accuracy
  • Conduct comprehensive background checks for child care staff using designated databases and protocols
  • Track application status, deficiencies, and follow-up items through to issuance or denial of permit
  • Provide technical assistance to current and prospective child care operators on permit application and background check processes
Requirements

A four-year high school diploma or its equivalent and one year of satisfactory clerical experience are required. Strong communication, analytic, and observational skills are essential. Computer proficiency and experience with data entry and querying large datasets are a plus.
