About the Role

Tate, Inc. is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the built environment. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our new manufacturing facility in Virginia.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing organization, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment problems, using your technical expertise to diagnose and repair issues efficiently.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to prevent equipment failures and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Work Order Management: Generate, complete, and close work orders using our computerized maintenance management system.
  • Training and Development: Mentor and train new maintenance employees, sharing your knowledge and expertise to ensure a high level of technical competence within the team.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with company safety policies and procedures, and maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact of quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification or Experience: Certification or equivalent experience in a mechanical field.
  • Experience: 4 years prior maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of current OSHA, NEC, and ANSI standards; proficiency with Microsoft Office Products; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and integrity.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted; ability to perform maintenance functions above ground level from 1 to 50'; ability to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift.
