Key Responsibilities:

As a Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing sourcing activities of moderate complexity and providing support for intricate or strategic initiatives. Your duties will include:

Leading Sourcing Activities:
  • Establish commodity and supplier strategies
  • Implement best practices in commodity management and strategic sourcing processes
  • Monitor category performance against established targets and conduct supplier evaluations for assigned suppliers
  • Effectively communicate with procurement leadership, business stakeholders, and team members regarding strategies, contracts, and project updates
  • Mentor junior staff as necessary

Supporting Complex Initiatives:
Your tasks may encompass:
  • Conducting supply market analysis and evaluating the current supply base
  • Developing a robust business case
  • Creating RFx documents and managing auctions
  • Negotiating contract terms
  • Tracking and reporting category performance against objectives
  • Onboarding new suppliers
  • Conducting supplier performance assessments
  • Overseeing contract execution

Forecasting Demand:
  • Identifying and proposing future sourcing opportunities

Technology Skills:
Experience with ERP planning is beneficial, particularly in demand/supply or allocation planning, preferably using SAP or similar systems.

Typical Daily Activities:
Engaging in data analysis, making retail replenishment decisions, allocation decisions, and supply purchasing decisions.

Preferred Background:
Experience in the telecom and supply chain sectors is advantageous.

Essential Soft Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities are crucial for success in this role.
