Position Overview:

The Field Engineer role involves supporting the design, modification, testing, and deployment of complex, large-scale Joint Terminal Control Training and Rehearsal Systems (JTC TRS). Responsibilities include overseeing and managing multiple site locations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Calibrating, installing, maintaining, repairing, and testing simulators and related support equipment.
  • Implementing updates and changes to training system hardware and software as per documented procedures.
  • Conducting and documenting preventative maintenance checks for simulators and support equipment.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and documenting simulator and support equipment malfunctions.
  • Assisting with the installation and verification of simulator and support equipment modifications.

Essential Duties:

  • Providing on-call helpdesk support.
  • Documenting maintenance activities and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Removing and replacing faulty equipment as necessary.
  • Assisting with general site facility activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical training, along with two years of electronics maintenance experience on similar equipment.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a simulator technician or simulation engineer.
  • Eligibility for DoD Personal Security Clearance is required.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office setting and may involve simulator maintenance tasks that require the use of ladders and scaffolding.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
