Join Our Team as a Mental Health Specialist

As a Mental Health Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering direct support to patients with psychiatric conditions. Your dedication will help create a nurturing environment that fosters recovery and well-being.

Shift Details: 8-hour shifts

Core Duties Include:

Direct Patient Interaction: Deliver compassionate and attentive care to patients, addressing both their physical and emotional needs. Safety Monitoring: Ensure patient safety by observing behaviors, assisting with daily activities, and intervening as necessary to prevent harm. Therapeutic Environment: Maintain a supportive atmosphere conducive to recovery and healing. Observation and Documentation: Conduct regular observations, accurately document patient behaviors, and report significant changes to the treatment team. Crisis Management: Assist in de-escalating crisis situations, ensuring the safety of both patients and staff. Patient Engagement: Build trust and collaboration with patients to enhance their treatment experience. Team Collaboration: Work alongside an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care. Patient Advocacy: Represent patients' needs and concerns within the treatment team. Educational Support: Offer psychoeducation to help patients develop coping strategies for their mental health challenges. Preventive Measures: Implement strategies to minimize crisis risks and maintain a calm environment. Accurate Documentation: Ensure timely and precise documentation of patient interactions in accordance with facility policies.

Qualifications:

Preferred: 1 year of experience in a direct mental health care role. Must be at least 21 years of age.
