About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail Store Associate at Office Depot. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales growth, and maintaining a positive and productive store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Centric Experience:
    • Provide proactive and personalized support to customers, ensuring a positive and engaging shopping experience.
    • Utilize sales programs and product knowledge to promote sales and drive revenue growth.
    • Stay up-to-date on planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.
  • Store Operations Commitment:
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment, adhering to company guidelines.
    • Ensure accurate inventory management, including scanning, investigating, and filling inventory lows and outs.
    • Support freight processes and maintain a neat and organized freight sorting area.
  • Print and Tech Expertise:
    • Develop and maintain personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest technology and print products, ensuring expertise in these areas.
  • Sales Techniques:
    • Apply sales principles to create satisfying customer interactions and drive sales growth.
    • Support company policies, procedures, and practices, and contribute to a positive and productive store environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • No previous experience required, but basic computer skills and ability to use technology for information and documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on establishing strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to read, count, and write accurately, with a focus on documentation and inventory management.
