As a Customer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting customers and sales teams through various duties, including sales order management, purchasing, quotation, and customer follow-up.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide product information to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Sales Order Management: Enter and maintain sales orders, expedite previous orders, and accurately quote product to customers.
- Purchasing: Purchase product directly from manufacturers to meet customer demands.
- Outside Sales Support: Assist and support outside sales staff with customer follow-up, sales support, and product information.
- Cost Savings: Identify and document cost savings opportunities to improve business efficiency.
- Over-the-Counter Sales: Capture sales with walk-in customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Warehouse Support: Perform occasional duties in the warehouse, such as shipping and receiving, to ensure smooth operations.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 1+ year in a customer service or sales environment preferred.
- Skills: Strong Microsoft Outlook and general computer skills, great communication and telephone skills, exceptional math skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment, and ability to lift 50 pounds of product.
- Preferred Qualifications: Basic product knowledge of bearings and power transmission products, with emphasis placed on mechanical aptitude.
