Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Corewell Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures, computer processing, and related techniques to produce images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient clinical history and ensure that information is documented and readily available to licensed practitioners.
  • Complete proper patient identification and order verification, preparing patients for procedures and providing instructions to obtain desired results.
  • Select and operate magnetic resonance systems, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment to achieve desired results.
  • Evaluate images and data for technical quality, manipulate display parameters, and push images to the picture archiving and communication system (PACS) as the accepted electronic format for permanent patient records.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and communicate any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department unit personnel.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field.
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree.
  • CRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or equivalent certification.
Physical Demands
  • Waist to Waist: Seldom up to 50 lbs.
  • Waist to Chest (below shoulder): Seldom up to 10 lbs.
  • Waist to Overhead: Seldom up to 10 lbs.
  • Bilateral Carry: Seldom up to 25 lbs.
  • Unilateral Carry: Seldom up to 10 lbs.
  • Pulling Force: Occasionally up to 35 lbs.
  • Pushing Force: Occasionally up to 35 lbs.
Work Environment

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Corewell Health, you will work in a fast-paced environment with variable shifts and weekends. You will be required to maintain a clean work environment and communicate any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department unit personnel.
