Position Overview: The Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting plays a crucial role in applying established accounting principles and procedures to evaluate financial data and produce accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.

  • Evaluates intricate financial reports and records to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepares financial statements and assists in budget preparation according to established timelines.
  • Creates financial reporting checklists to ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and reporting standards.
  • Conducts variance analyses and reconciles accounts.
  • Reviews and suggests improvements to accounting systems and processes.
  • Engages in the establishment of financial standards.
  • Responds to external audit inquiries.
  • Supports month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to enhance and maintain controls.
  • Works independently with minimal guidance and takes ownership of deliverables, collaborating closely with team members and management.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
